China Glaze Cocktail Manicure

Last week I was checking Facebook and saw China Glaze was having a contest. In the contest they were asking us to create a Cocktail Manicure and submit a picture of it to enter. A cocktail manicure is something China Glaze came up with to celebrate The Manhattan Cocktail Classic in New York. A Cocktail mani is your thumb, index and middle finger nails on your right hand are done in a flashy color and the rest of your nails done in a complimentary color. China Glaze provided a "menu" to choose our design from. They are all named after popular cocktails, of course.

I chose the Mai Tai, so I used China Glaze Gothic Lolita from the Electropop Collection, and China Glaze Prism from the Prismatics Collection. Both collections were 2012 releases.

Here are the close up pictures of my Mai Tai

Here are the bottle pictures I did...

This is my final picture I entered into the contest.

And the amazing news is...I WON!! I am so thrilled AND honored to have been one of the five they chose as winners. And our prize: we won the China Glaze Summer Neon Collection. I feel so lucky. Congrats to the other four winners! Thanks for looking :)

  1. Your Mai Tai mani is super pretty, though I don't know how/if/ what is supposed to resemble the actual drink... oh, well. The glitter complements the purple so nicely! :) :)

  2. I thought the mai tai was orange/yellow. (I googled it. Yep it is lol) But the colors were really pretty together and I had a lot of fun doing the mani. I got one comment the next day in the grocery. The lady kind of acted like she thought it was weird but I explained it to her and she thought it was cool. Or at least she acted like she did ;)
