China Glaze Life Preserver with China Glaze Papaya Punch

China Glaze Life Preserver with China Glaze Papaya Punch accent nail

China Glaze Life Preserver is from the Anchors Away Collection 2011. It's a soft burnt orange creme. Application and formula were China Glaze typical perfection.
China Glaze Papaya Punch is from Island Escape Collection 2011. It's a shade I bought on a whim. It's also a color I'd probably never wear as a full mani. It worked good for an accent nail though. It's bright orange and pretty close to neon. It's not as yellow as it appears in the picture. To me it's absolutely orange. Maybe it is neon? I added a stamp with Life Preserver on the accent nail and it turned out great.

Zoya Reagan

Zoya Reagan

Zoya Reagan from the Beach Collection from this summer. This is a unique purple to my collection. I can't really remember seeing this shade before in any other collection. It's perfect for my skin tone and looks amazing. It's so shiny. Application and formula are typical Zoya perfection. I do not ever want to take this off. Simply perfect. Reagan rivals Maya for my most favorite Zoya polish!

Zoya Cheryl

Zoya Cheryl

Zoya Cheryl is from the Wicked and Wonderful Collection in 2010. It's a warm brown with gorgeous shimmer. I like this a lot but I hated the glitter residue it left on my fingers after clean up. It wasn't as noticeable in real life as in the pictures but sheesh! It finally came off after I took a shower, so it's not that big a deal. I am just picky...

Hits Atena

Hits Atena

Hits Atena is a berry pink holographic from Brazil. Released in the Specialita Hits no Olimpo Collection. At least I think that's the name of the collection. The holo effect is perfect. Absolutely gorgeous. The wear on this isn't bad and the formula is good as well. The brush, however, horrible! Well worth it though. This might be a dupe for OPI DS Exclusive. I'm going to do a comparison soon for confirmation.

Zoya Posh with Butter London Tart With A Heart

Zoya Posh with Butter London Tart With A Heart

Zoya Posh is from the Velvet Matte Collection from 2009. This collection is amazing and one of my favorites from Zoya. It's not a true matte, which I guess is why they call it Velvet Matte. It's not quite as shimmery as OPI's  Suede collection, but definitely not matte in it's true finish. I really love this shade. It's kind of a burgandy like red. It reflects light and looks shiny like without being glossy shiny. I love it. It shows brush strokes a little bit. Not nearly as much as it appears in the pictures though. Way less noticeable in real life.
Butter London Tart With A Heart is a golden micro glitter with larger glitter that reflects a bunch of colors. It was released 2011 in their Holiday Dressing Table Duo with The Black Knight. It's really gorgeous. I absolutely love it! It's so sparkly and girly. I seriously adore it and I know I'll be wearing it again soon.

Color Club Berry Bright and China Glaze Glistening Snow

Color Club Berry Bright is scented. And it stinks!

Like seriously stinks. So bad I am taking this off right away. Just the movement of my hands makes the smell unbearable. Oh my heck what were they thinking. It's such a pretty shimmery berry red color too. I really like the color. I thought for sure TC was going to hide it. And when it didn't I thought there was no way it would survive SV. It did. It's from the 2012 Winter Affair Collection.
China Glaze Glistening Snow is perfection. Released in their 2012 Holiday Joy Collection it has micro holo silvery glitter. I love it. I don't know that I could do an entire mani with it though. It's intense.

OPI You Only Live Twice with Delete Diabetes accent

OPI You Only Live Twice with Delete Diabetes accent nail

I chose this polish because today is supposed to be the end of the world. And of course, it isn't. Silly Myans didn't know about leap year or something like that. Anyway...
OPI You Only Live Twice is a shimmery magenta. It was released this holiday season in their Skyfall Collection. I like it ok. It didn't blow me away. It's pretty, just not amazing to me. I used OPI Delete Diabetes for the accent and it is as gorgeous as it always is. Even tho I messed that nail up a little :/ Great wear on these two. Lasted several days before I got tip wear.

China Glaze Ruby Pumps with Emerald Sparkle

For me, it isn't the Christmas season without China Glaze's amazing Ruby Pumps and Emerald Sparkle. I decided to pair them for what turned out to be a stunning mani.

China Glaze really knows how to make a beautiful glass fleck polish. It's kind of their thing. I'm pretty sure they pioneered this finish. If they didn't they definitely set the bar. I can't go through Christmas without wearing each of these and I think pairing them for this mani was a total win!
Emerald Sparkle was released in 2008 with the Sleigh Ride Collection. Ruby Pumps was released in 2009 in the Wizard of Ooh Ahhz Collection, but I am pretty sure it's now part of the core collection.

China Glaze Ruby Deer with $OPI Be-Claus I Said So accent

China Glaze Ruby Deer with Essie Marshmallow and Sephora by OPI Be-Claus I Said So accent nails.

I bought $OPI Be-Claus I Said So when it was released LAST Christmas (2011), but I am just now using it for the first time. So glad I finally wore it. It's gorgeous. Love is as much as I thought I would. I used Essie Marshmallow, core collection, for underwear. It really made the red glitter pop. China Glaze Ruby Deer, 2010 Tis The Season to be Naughty and Nice, is a pretty red that I know I have dupes of. I just keep buying these reds. I love how they look with my skin tone.

Color Club Cadillac Red with Ninja Polish Candy Cane Floam accent

Candy Cane Floam accents a Cadillac Red mani

Color Club never disappoints. It's formula is always flawless and makes application a breeze. Cadillac Red is no exception. It's from the 2010 All About Color Collection. I love a cherry red. I probably have dupes of this, but I haven't taken the time to compare. That's on my to do list for next year. In the meanwhile I'm enjoying this one. I added Ninja Polish Candy Cane Floam, released this holiday season, for my accent nails. Next time I wear it I think I'll use underwear. It wasn't as see through as it looks in the pictures, but it bugged me a little. Mostly on the free edge, so I think my application is to blame. I'll pay closer attention to the edge next time as well. Overall I love this mani! I am planning to rock the Christmas mani's all week through Christmas along with my Christmas spirit :)

Glitter Gal Type O

This is Glitter Gal Type O

Glitter Gal Type O is an Australian indie polish from their 2012 Sparkle Collection. It's my first Glitter Gal and I love it! It looks lit from within and I love those kind of polishes. I don't know if it's supposed to be holographic? Glitter? I don't see any holo when I wear it. I do see a beautiful cherry red and sparkles to die for. That's good enough for me. I wonder though if my TC killed the holo. I'll try this again soon without TC and see. If it's glitter, it's smooth as glass. And that's my kind of glitter! Like glass fleck maybe? It wears great and applies like butter. No complaints. Love love love!

Layla Misty Blush

Layla Misty Blush

Layla Misty Blush from the second Hologrm Collection released this year is a pupley-brown holographic. It was released this fall I believe. I just got it last week and could not wait to try it out. No sitting in the untrieds for this baby! It didn't disappoint. The holographic effect in this was almost too much for my camera to take! I am in awe of it. Application is not easy, but using Aqua Base makes it much better. The trick is not overlapping and being semi quick. It takes two coats and you're set. Dries fast. I added a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Flash QDTC to help it last longer. It worked, and it didn't dull the holo. Winning!

Zoya Storm

Zoya Storm

Zoya Storm from the Ornamental Collection from this years holiday collection. Black and sparkly and holographic. What's not to love. Again, this is scattered holographic glitter that's smooth and shiny. I have yet to meet a Zoya I don't love. They're all fantastic. Application was perfect, wear time is great and of course it looks perfect. <3

Color Club Halo-Graphic

Color Club Halo-Graphic

Color Club Halo-Graphic from their Halo Hues collection recently released is a pink linear holographic. Oh My Heck the holo effect in this collection. TDF! I could not stop looking at my nails. I used Aqua Base with this, and while it's not necessary, I really feel like it extended my wear time and might have made the holo even more intense. I wore this for four days. Like mind blowingly intense. Looking forward to wearing the other shades in this collection.

OPI We'll Always Have Paris

OPI We'll Always Have Paris

OPI We'll Always Have Paris is from the La Paris De France collection from 2008. It has been in my untrieds for forever. I mean like at least a year. Why did I wait so long?!? The application was not my favorite I have to admit. It was kind of thick and goopy, but still ran into my cuticles, so I'll add some thinner before I use it again. Weird. It stained my cuticles, which makes me kind of crazy. I HATE stains on my cuticles. Annoying! I was able to get rid of the stains by putting a little cuticle remover where the stains were, then wipe the cuticle remover off. The stains were almost completely gone. But that's hard on the cuticles. So thinner for sure before I use this again. Otherwise, the color is beautiful and I liked it a lot.

Zoya Aurora

Zoya Aurora

Zoya Aurora is from the Ornamental Collection from their holiday 2012 release. It's a purple jelly base with scattered holographic glitter but is still super smooth! I got really good wear time and this applied like butter. Love Zoya. Amazing! This lands in my top 5 Zoya favorites of all time.

OPI DS Original

OPI DS Original. My love affair with OPI Designer Series continues...

From the 2006 Designer Series Collection. Purple, holographic, gorgeous, stunning...Just a few adjectives to describe this NP. It's in my top 5 favorite of the DS, possibly my entire collection. The holographic effect is amazeballs! Perfect for the weekend! Love, love, love these DS holos. Please make more OPI!

OPI I'm All Ears

OPI I'm All Ears.

OPI I'm All Ears is from the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection from this summer. It's very similar to Butter London Disco Biscuit, which I have, and China Glaze 108 Degrees, which I don't have. The glitter seems bigger in Disco Biscuit but really they're close enough I don't need both. Possible purge of one them? Maybe. Probably not. I'll decide later.
It's pretty sheer and neded 3 coats. It's worth it though. Love this color. Definitely NOT buying 108 degrees. Seriously!

Zoya Maya

Zoya Maya: Gorgeous pink coral jelly.

Zoya Maya from the Paradise Collection. Oh boy do I love this polish! In every way. The application was seamless. The finish is to die for and the color is fun! The wear was great too. Happy :) My all time #1 favorite Zoya ever!

Jade Psicodelica

I wore this back in November. Election week to be exact.

Jade Psicodelica natural light

Jade Psicodelica natural light

And on election day right before I went out to vote, I stamped an accent nail! I used Konad Red and the blue is Brazillian Big Universo Azul Colonial.

Jade Holographics are so gorgeous. I love every single shade. So happy I have them all. I've used this twice as an accent nail and finally got around to doing a whole mani with it. It's amazing. The holo effect is stunning. They apply easily, dry fast and you can top coat them. Love!!

Claire's Venomous

This is one of those NP that makes me so happy when I wear it. I love multi chrome finish.

I have a hard time capturing multi chromes. They are fun like that. The flash shows up when you least expect it. I think I did fair with Venomous. I made an animated gif for fun to show the color flashes. My first animated gif.

Claire's Venomous is purple base with a green, gold, pink flash Application and wear were just fine. I used my usual TC and then QDTC method, that I feel made no difference what so ever in how the polish looks. Metallics and multi chromes don't seem to look better (or worse) with TC. I do think it helps with wear though.
