China Glaze Wicked Style with Carnival Lights

Another berry pink creme. Love

China Glaze Wicked Style was released in the 2011 Electropop Collection. It's a berry pink similar to, and possible dupes of many in my collection. I keep buying these shades of pink. I dearly love how they work with my skin tone. Formula, application and wear time was perfect as always.

Zoya Coraline

When Zoya released their Blogger Collection this past summer, I ordered the set immediately. I couldn't wait to get them on my nails. I loved them instantly. Why I waited so long to blog them is beyond me.
EDIT: Apparently I didn't wait to blog this polish. Here is the first time I blogged it ;)

Zoya Coraline is a gorgeous orange jelly. It looks like a creamcicle on your fingertips. It's just dreamy. In true Zoya fashion the formula, application, and wear are perfect. It's very sheer, typical for a jelly. I used 3 coats for the pictures.

S-he 250 with OPI Save Me accent nail

S-he is a brand I wasn't able to get in the US. My sister-in-law got it for me in Austria. I appreciate her so much for shortening my wish list with the gifts she sends me every year.

S-he 250 is a purple foil. The first time I saw this I was like: Must. Get. Now. Sadly, it wasn't possible.  I had to wait months to get this, after giving up hope. Thanks Melia for coming to the rescue! It didn't disappoint me either. It's as pretty as I thought it would be. The application isn't perfect, but it's not impossible either. Wear time was just right.
OPI Save Me for the accent nail was great. I don't love bar glitter, but this one is not bad. The multi color bars with holographic bars thrown in for added color are fun. It added just the right amount of color to the mani without overtaking it. I love a glitter accent nail.

China Glaze Winter Berry

Jelly finish!! I was going to start this post with "Jelly finish, one of my favorite...." But I say that all the time about every finish. Let's just say I love nail polish ;)

China Glaze Winter Berry is from the 2011 Let It Snow Collection. It's a berry red, as the name suggests. It's a lovely jelly formula that's everything you'd expect from China Glaze. Great formula, application and wear time. Nothing but good to say about this one. I've worn it plenty and it's in my forever collection.

China Glaze Mistletoe Me! with OPI Excuse Moi!

Foils are one of my favorites for polish finish. They used to be my top favorite. I still love it, it's just not my number 1. It's a gorgeous finish.

China Glaze Mistletoe Me! is from the Ulta exclusive release Holiday 2011. The first time I wore this I was in love. Same with the next few times. Pretty berry pink color that I adore and love to wear. It's also a dupe for Color Club Hot Like Lava.
I added OPI Excuse Moi! from the 2011 Muppet's Collection holiday release. Excuse Moi! is also a hot pink base with pink and silver glitter. There's also some round multi colored glitter. It works perfectly with Mistletoe Me! Love the combo.

OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede

Suede polish...

Suedes are one of my absolute favorite finishes. They look so classy and elegant. You can wear them with formal wear or with jeans. I just adore them.
This is OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede from the Suede Collection in 2009. It looks absolutely nothing like the original LPAD creme released in the Chicago collection 2005.
The subtle silver shimmer in the purple makes for a really pretty combo. Love, love, love this polish!!
The application is tricky. Quick and no overlapping is best. It dries super fast. Some say use it on bare nails, and obviously no top coat. I don't wear any polish on my bare nails. I always use base coat treatments under my polish. I apply my base coat and treatment then QDTC and then use the suede. It works well for me and gives me a longer wear time as well.

Revlon Hot For Chocolate

Revlon polish is so nostalgic to me. It's one of the first brands of nail polish I ever used. I've read some say they wish Revlon would update their bottles, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Their bottles are easily recognized, unique (even if they are old fashioned), and they put the name of the polish on top. And I love that. When I open my Revlon drawer in my Alex I can easily find the color I want. Which is really nice when you have a large collection of polish.

Revlon Hot For Chocolate is a brown creme. I think it's part of their core line. I'm not sure. I've had this for a very long time. There's nothing really spectacular about it. Unless you want to call simply perfect formula, application and wear, spectacular. Hmm, I do! It's a really nice brown. A true brown. And it's pretty dang shiny. Once I added TC it was just stunning.
I added OPI Bring On The Bling from the Burlesque collection released for OPI's holiday collection in 2010. BOTB is gold glitter with what looks like some small glitter in various colors. To be honest though you really only see gold when you look at it on the nail unless you look super close.
I love this combination.

Color Club Harp On It

This stunning linear silver holographic is intense!

Like amazeballz intense! Almost too intense for me. Almost. I wore this out to dinner with DH and in the restaurant lighting it was just gorgeous. I almost couldn't stop staring at my hands to enjoy my amazing sushi. Almost ;)
Harp on it from Color Club's Hues collection released this winter (2012), is the perfect linear holographic silver. The entire collection is gorgeous. It applied perfectly. I used Nfu Oh Aqua Base with it even though you don't need it I feel like it intensifies the holo and evens everything out. I used SH Diamond Flash QDTC with it because I think it works best with holos and doesn't dull the effect. I am so glad I got this collection. It's a must have for any holo lover. The wear on these is also amazing. Well done Color Club.

OPI Designer DeBetter with OPI Warm and Fozzie

The beauty of foil finish nail polish is something to behold...

The 2011 Muppets Holiday Collection from OPI produced some gorgeous polish. OPI Designer De Better is a weirdly named gorgeous champagne foil with some coppery flecks. It really is an interesting and unique blend. I thought it made OPI Warm & Fozzie, from the same collection, an obvious choice for an accent nail. Warm & Fozzie is a mix of bronze-brown foil with a slight gold/pink duochrome. Again, really unique color. Well done OPI.

Finger Paints Curator's Crimson

I love a pretty red polish.

Finger Paints Curator's Crimson is from a Christmas Duo in 2011. I really enjoy wearing it. It's a gorgeous tomato red crelly. Super shiny and wears great. Formula is just right as well. I really like Finger Paints. The more colors I buy and use the more I realize they are an amazing company and make some awesome polish.
For my accent nail I used China Glaze Love Marilyn from the 2011 Eye Candy Collection. It's red and gold glitter and goes perfectly with this mani. I love a glittery accent nail.

OPI Teas-y Does It

The Burlesque Collection from OPI's 2010 Holiday release is probably my favorite OPI Collection ever.

OPI Teas-y Does It is a brownish purple with red and maybe gold shimmer. When the light hits it, it just glows. I love this type of glittery shimmer. It's stunning. I wish I had the display art for this collection. I have the perfect spot for it in my polish area. I might have to do an internet search to see if I can find one somewhere...

OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyranees Suede

OPI Suedes. Shimmery grey matte.

OPI Suzi Skis In The Pyranees is a grey matte with silver shimmer. It's from the 2009 Suedes Collection. I didn't buy this when it was released, so when I saw it on a blog sale I jumped at the chance to buy it. It didn't disappoint. I love the shimmer! It's so pretty. I don't know why someone marked on the label with a sharpie. I sure wish they didn't do that! I managed to wear this without adding TC. Small milestone for me :)

Extending a mani with Dollish Polish

I wasn't quite ready to remove OPI Pink-ing Of You...

So I added a couple coats of Dollish Polish Girls Rule, Boys Drool. This was a LE from Dollish Polish with only 300 made. I was one of the lucky to be chosen from those who entered the drawing. I had a hard time deciding what to wear it over, but OPI Pink-ing Of You is perfect. It looks so cute. Love it!
The tiny pink and blue matte glitter work perfectly with the pink underwear. Mani extending success :D

OPI Pink-ing Of You

You can never have too much pink ;)

OPI Pink-ing Of You is from the 2002 Sheer Romance Collection. An olide but a goodie! I can't believe how long I've had this one. It's a typical bright pink creme. Nothing really spectacular about it.      It's also typical OPI. Flawless application and formula.

Zoya Reagan and OPI Casino Royale

OPI and a saran wrap mani

I was looking at Demelza's blog a while back and saw she had a tutorial for a saran wrap mani. I've seen this a few times and was really interested in trying it out. Thanks Demelza for making the tutorial and showing how easy it is to accomplish this mani. I decided to use the two colors DH picked out when I was first looking at swatches of OPI Casino Royale. Props to him for noticing that Zoya Reagan would be a great match.
I used Zoya Regan from the 2012 Beach Collection and OPI Casino Royale from 2012 Skyfall Collection. I think they look great together and this is a success. It's subtle, which works perfectly for me. I'm not big into wearing mani's that are over the top.
Zoya Regan was the main color with Casino Royale on top and for the accent nail I did opposite. I'll be doing this technique again in the future for sure.

China Glaze BFF

OMG! More Pink  :)

China Glaze BFF from the 2008 OMG Collection. Linear holographic at it's finest. It doesn't get much better than this collection. I think this is the collection that started my infatuation with holographics. Every single polish in this collection is stunning. I am so happy I have them.
I used my Nfu Oh Aqua Base. It's not necessary, but I like the way it hides any ridges or imperfections in my nails. It also intensifies the holographic effect. I feel like it also extends the life of the mani. I've tried a couple TC with these holos with no luck. I don't like not using TC, so I need to do some more experimenting to hopefully find one that doesn't dull the holo.

Jade Delirio Rosa

Brazil offers some pretty awesome holographic nail polish!

Continuing with the week in pink for my birthday celebration, today I have Jade Delirio Rosa. I got this from a swap with a nice girl from Brazil. We had an awesome two part swap. I hope to swap with her again some time soon.
Delirio Rosa is a bright barbie pink holographic. This polish is TDF pretty. I am totally in love with it. I'm going to need a back up of this for sure.
I'm not sure if TC dulls the effect of the Jade holos, so I didn't use any. I don't like not using TC, so I need to do some experimenting.
P.S. Happy Birthday Rod Stewart :)

China Glaze Exquisite and United

Pink. Pink. And more pink!

China Glaze Exquisite and United are both from the 2012 United In Purpose Collection to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Exquisite is a shimmery pink very similar, if not an exact dupe, of OPI Pedal Faster Suzi. I haven't done a comparison. Probably won't since I don't plan to get rid of either one. It's girly and sparkly and just what this birthday girl loves. It doesn't necessarily go perfect with my skin tone, but since it's my birthday we're not gonna worry about that.
On my accent nail I used United. United hass that holo micro glitter we first saw from China Glaze in their Ulta exclusives Fireside Glow and Ultamate Holiday. The China Glaze Holiday 2012 release Angel Wings is a dupe of Ultamate Holiday, for the record. Wow, how about I get back to the subject...Anytway. it's the super smooth micro holographic glitter that I adore. Cannot get enough of it. My pictures don't show the holo goodness, but it's there trust me :)

It's My Birthday!

Happy Birthday to The Tams :D

Since it's my birthday, today will be all about pink. My favorite color. And while I'm at it let's toss in some holographic yum :) As a matter of fact I think the rest of the week will be all about pink.
Orly Miss Conduct is from the Holiday 2012 Naughty or Nice Collection. Berry, pink and holographic. Ohh yeah! Just what this girl loves! My goodness is this ever gorgeous. I don't know how Christmas-like it is but who cares! It feels like it glows within when you're indoors. When you go outside it explodes with holo rainbows. Application and coverage are perfect. I used two coats with SH Diamond Flash TC.

The Color Of Minnie

Red, shimmery beauty

The Color Of Minne, released in the 2012 Vintage Minnie Collection, is a shimmery red with a slight pink flash. It's beautifully classic while still feeling up to date and stylish. I have worn this 4 or 5 times already. I really like it. It's on my toes right now, actually. It looks good in summer or winter and goes with any skin tone. It's a must have. The formula is perfect and the application is flawless.

Zoya Ivanka

Green :)

Zoya Ivanka from the Sparkle Collection 2010. It's a sheer shimmery green. I did three coats, but probably needed a fourth, though in real life the bare looking spots were not noticeable like they are in these pictures. It's a really pretty color. I didn't love it on me, but the only reason is I feel like it's not the best color for my skin tone. Application and formula are great. Other thank the skin tone issue I adore Ivanka.

Revlon Bubble Gum

Pretty pink scented nail polish

Revlon Bubble Gum is another scented polish. It was released in their 2010 Scents of Summer Collection. And BLEH!! It does not smell like bubble gum at all. It smells more like fake watermelon. I don't like watermelon, so there ya have it. Why do they make these scented polishes? More importantly, why do I keep buying them? I don't buy them for their scent that is for sure! It's the color. And this Bubble Gum is purdy. The kind of berry pink that I love so much. The scent, thankfully, was less intense once I applied TC. And after sleeping I can say the next day is was almost non existant. Thank goodness. It took 3 coats for opacity. In spite of it's stinkyness, I love it.

OPI Stay The Night with OPI The Impossible accent nail with Top Coat

Shiny!

I loved this mani so much I wore it two days then decided to use top coat and see how it looked. I can say honestly I liked it better without the top coat. Probably because I'm not a full mani glitter kind of girl. It looks great, for sure. Just looked better matte. I had to know though, so I'm glad I tried it. It took three good coats of TC to get it glossy. These are from the Mariah Carey Collection that introduced the liquid sand finish. See my post here for the original finish look.

OPI Stay The Night with OPI The Impossible accent nail

OPI liquid sand finish is new. It is also awesome! Happy New Year :D

So this new finish is so cool. It's a little gritty but not as much as it looks. It's a little weird since I'm used to glossy smooth nails. But I have to say I really like it! It's different! Which is a good thing when you have as much nail polish as I do. I love the way the glitter sparkles in the matte. It really looks like sand with glitter in it. Way to go OPI! I bought all 4 colors, so I'm looking forward to trying the other two out. These are from the Mariah Carey collection that just came out.
