OPI Strawberry Margarita

Look at this gorgeous polish! I die!!!

OPI Strawberry Margarita was released in the spring of 2006 in the Mexico Collection. I believe it's now part of the OPI core collection. This bright pink creme is one of the most gorgeous polish shades ever. I adore it. Application and wear are typical OPI perfection.

Dollish Polish Hip Hop Hippity Hop

Just in time for this Easter weekend I have an Easter exclusive polish

Dollish Polish Hip Hop Hippity Hop was released spring 2012 for Easter Collection.
HHHH is a lavender pink creme with green blue and pink glitter. It's perfect for Easter. It looks like a candy egg. Application and wear were just fine. This is such a fun polish.

Ninja Polish Ambrosia

Indie polish has exploded. Every where I look I'm seeing them. There are some really amazing indie collections out and new ones it seems just about every week. Ambrosia is one that caught my eye.

Ninja Polish Ambrosia is from the Enigma Collection released this spring. It's a gorgeous hot pinkish red jelly with gold shimmer. I adore this polish. It's so pretty. I loved wearing it. It wore like a dream. Also applied perfect. I like the indie Ninja Polish line a lot. My experience has been high quality and the selection is just lovely.

OPI What Wizardry Is This?

Another textured polish. What can I say? I love them!

OPI What Wizardry Is This? is from the Oz The Great and Powerful Collection just released this spring. I actually wore this to go see the movie ;) I liked the movie a lot. I like the polish even more!
What Wizardry Is This is a bronzy brown with golden textured effect. It's really unique and pretty darn amazing. The wear was great and the application was as well. Dry time is a little slow. I think I gave it a good 45 minutes to fully dry. That's about 15 minutes more than the other textures I've worn, but the pay off is well worth it.

JulieG Hot Cinnamon

Textured polish is all the rage this year. I am totally loving it. I was concerned the texture would bother me when it first came out. I admit I am constantly feeling my nails when I'm wearing the texture, but in a good way. It's amazing looking as well. I adore this trend!

JulieG Hot Cinnamon is from the Frosted Gumdrops Collection just released this spring. I loved them so much I did the pre-order and had them delivered to my house. I have pretty much decided I'd rather pay the shipping fee than drive around trying to find out if the drug store has the newest polish in stock. And JulieG didn't even charge shipping. Winning!
Hot Cinnamon is a cherry red textured polish with a silver shimmery effect. It really does look like a gumdrop. Way to go Julie! I got the whole set and can't wait to try the others out. All 6 are lovely. The wear on this polish was amazing. I wore it like 5 days and never did get any chips. Removal isn't as bad as a glitter bomb, but more difficult than creme polish. I did the foil method, though you probably wouldn't have to. I just like using the foil because a) it's easy and b) I feel like rubbing against the texture, (same for glitter), isn't good for my nails. I am uber protective of my nails! I do realize some might say the acetone on my skin/nails in the foil isn't good either. Correct. It's not. I do take precautions. I coat my cuticle and skin with cuticle oil while using the foil method and I coat again afterwards with oil for several minutes before I do my next mani. It works well for me.
I used 2 coats of polish for this mani. Most texture polish says no base coat and of course no top coat. I don't do it this way. I do my normal base coat routine: China Glaze Strong Adhesion, Nail Tek II Foundation, Nail Tek II Intensive Therapy then I do a coat of QDTC to get it all dry. Once it's dry I do the texture polish. I do the same with matte/suede polish. And similar with holos. I just can't stand to put polish right on top of my nails. I have to have a base coat. Probably I'm OCD *shrug*

Essie Clambake

My nails were getting too long and annoying so I decided I need a change. They're now much shorter.

Essie Clambake is part of the core collection. It's a red coral jelly that is so pretty I die. I love, love, love jellies! So squishy and shiny. A little sheer of course so I needed three coats, but who cares when this is the result?  A coat of SV helped it dry fast and the result is sheer perfection.

China Glaze Trendsetter

Apparently I am on a China Glaze Metro Collection kick :)

China Glaze Trendsetter is from the 2011 Metro Collection. I think this color is probably a love it or hate it kind of shade. Personally I love it. The green is totally unique in my collection, but the gold shimmer...The shimmer makes this polish come alive. Gorgeous.

China Glaze Brownstone

China Glaze Brownstone is a definite dupe for Zoya Cola. I prefer the formula of Brownstone. It's less streaky and only take 2 coats vs. Cola which needs 3.

China Glaze Brownstone is from the fall of 2011 Metro Collection. Brownstone is a red based brown creme, or maybe a brown based red creme? Either way it's simple but really pretty. Application and wear are just awesome. I enjoyed this mani a lot and it's a stunner. The shine...

Zoya Reece

I ordered this quite a while ago. When it arrived I thought I wasn't going to like it, so it has been sitting in my Alex waiting on me to give it a try. I finally did today...

I am not ashamed to say: "I was wrong". Cause I was. I love this polish! And for that I am so happy. I so hate when I buy something thinking I'll love it and then don't.
Zoya Reece is from the Spring Reverie Collection released in 2010. (I admitted I've had it a while!).
Reece is a mauve like pink with flashy gold shimmer. It's a tad bit frosty but in the best possible way. This is not your Gramma's frost! Absolutely love this and I'm so glad I finally wore it. It won't be waiting so long for a repeat wear I can guarantee. Wear and application typical Zoya perfection.

Color Club Holiday Splendor

To continue my green manicures...

Color Club Holiday Splendor. Released in the 2011 holiday collection Beyond The Mistletoe. Another Christmas polish to celebrate St. Patrick's Day :) After the fact!
This polish is a green jelly with tons of holographic glitter. It is way out past my full mani glitter comfort zone, and to be honest; I didn't wear it a full day. It's just too much for me for a full mani. I should have done an accent nail with it. In the future when I wear this, that's what I'll do. It is really pretty though. Absolutely holographically stunning. I could have used another coat I think. Or maybe some underwear. Again, notes for future wear.

Zoya Logan

My fifth green for the week of green is the perfect polish to wear into the weekend to celebrate St. Patrick's Day...

Zoya Logan was just released this past Holiday 2012 in the Ornate Collection. It's a deep forest green foil with gold shimmer. Absolutely gorgeous and probably my favorite green foil ever. It is the absolute perfect St. Patrick's Day polish I think.

China Glaze Zombie Zest

Yes, I know. It's a Halloween polish. So what! It's green. It's gorgeous. It's going in spot number 4 in my week of green for St. Patrick's Day :)

Released in the Haloween 2010 Awakening Collection, China Glaze Zombie Zest is not the greenest of greens for sure. Zombie Zest is a funky green jelly with golden shimmery glitter. It's so ugly it's pretty! I enjoyed wearing this unusual polish. I have only worn it once before, for Halloween. It was fun wearing it outside it's expexted holiday time :)

Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City with Top Coat

Day three of my week in green and I've added top coat.

Yesterday I wore Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City. Today I added top coat. The top coat brings out the silver shimmer. I like it with top coat just fine but to be honest it looks best as it was intended. Next time there won't be any top coat for Emerald City ;)

Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City

Day two of the week of green...

Revlon Matte Suede Emerald City from the 2010 Suede Rhapsody Collection is unique in my collection. It's not totally matte, not totally suede as OPI defines it, but absolutely gorgeous. I love it. There is silver shimmer and just enough shine to keep it from being flat but not so much to confuse it with regular polish. Lovely. It applies easy and wears nice. Not super long, but mattes never do. I find Emerald City wears longer than other mattes though.

Zoya Apple

Since next Sunday is St. Patrick's day, I decided for a week of green! I'm not going to wear the obvious ones I wear every year...I'm looking at you China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. I'll be wearing some of my untried and/or not so ordinary greens :)
Day One:

First up in my week of green is Zoya Apple. Released in the Summer 2011 Sunshine collection, Zoya Apple is a gorgeous bright green foil. It's golden green foil. I don't know how else to describe it, so I'll leave it at that. It's sheer. I did 2 coats. Next time I'll do 3 for better coverage. It looks nice with 2 but I think the third coat is going to make Apple shine. I always use Zoya Anchor and Zoya Armor with my Zoya colors. It just works better. As my fast dry I use Poshe qdtc. For me, that's the perfect match and helps my mani last as long as I need it to.

OPI Monsooner Or Later

Released in 2008 as part of the India Collection.

OPI Monsooner Or Later is an orange red creme that is so pretty I can't stop looking at my hands. As I'm typing I literally stop and just look at my nails. Vain I guess, but it is why we polish our nails isn't it? MOL is again, orangey without being obnoxious. And I love this. I seem to be on an orangey kick lately. Note to self to try and use something different for the next mani...

China Glaze Make Some Noise

As part of the Electropop Collection released this past spring 2012, Make Some Noise will get your attention.

China Glaze Make Some Noise is a bright orangey red jelly like creme. It's bright orange without being obnoxiously bright. It's got a squishy shiny look like a jelly but the opaque coverage like a creme. The best of both! China Glaze is one of my two favorite brands. The only one I like as well as China Glaze is OPI. There are lots of good polish brands out now, but China Glaze is in the top for their awesome formulas and overall quality.

OPI German-icure by OPI

Part of the Germany Collection released in the fall of 2012.

OPI Germani-cure by OPI is a vampy dark brown with a red undertone. The golden shimmer is just lovely. I really enjoy this color. When you get into the sunlight the shimmer just glows. This is the kind of polish I really love wearing. I got so many compliments. Your eyes are simply drawn to the nails when you're wearing something this stunning.

Zoya Kate with Belle accent

I've worn this mani so many times I'm surprised I'm just now blogging it.

Zoya released Kate and Belle as part of the Limited Edition exclusive to Birchbox Blogger Collection from the spring of 2012.
Zoya Kate is a yummy reddish coral jelly. It is the perfect jelly. I absolutely adore this polish. I maybe should get a back up.
Zoya Belle is a sheer grapfruit pink base with lots of pink shimmer. It's heavenly and really looks great added to Kate. It's pretty on it's own as well, but I prefer it worn over Kate. Next time I wear it I think I might layer it over Coraline from the same collection.

China Glaze Fast Track

Part of the Capital Colors Collection released in the spring of 2012 to coincide with the Hunger Games movie.

China Glaze Fast Track is a light taupe base with golden shimmer. The shimmer is less evident in real life than it looks in the pictures, but noticeable enough. It's really a lovely color. For someone elses skin tone. On me it looks less than beautiful. It really washes out my coloring. What little I have anyway. I guess I am just not made to wear nudes. I've tried a few and I don't really care for any that I've worn. This one, sadly, will go into the swap bin most likely.

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest

Released in 2012 in the OPI Germany Collection

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest is a purple base with gold, red and purple shimmer. This looks amazing in the sunlight. It's a beautiful shimmery delight.
