Zoya America with Purity polka dots

I'm dressing for Halloween today as Minnie Mouse. So today my mani is a Halloween mani, but not the typical scary you'd expect for Halloween. I mean it's Minnie Mouse! We have to bring out the cute :D

Zoya America is from the Ooh-La-La and La-Di-Da collection from fall 2012. It's a true red in every sense. Which is, I guess, why it's named America. It's a gorgeous polish. Application was super smooth and the little clean up I had to do wasn't marred by bad staining, which I've had with reds in the past.
The white dots are Zoya Purity. I did the dots with my second to smallest dotting tool. Super easy and a perfect match to my Minnie Mouse top:

And these ears:

Black leggings with yellow shoes and I'm all set :D Love dressing up like this. I am pretty sure I'll be wearing this to the next Disney show we go to.

OPI This Gown Needs A Crown

OPI This Gown Needs A Crown from the 2013 Miss Universe collection just released is the final in the collection, and the gem.

OPI This Gown Needs A Crown is a matte foil. I don't know that I have heard of a matte foil before this polish. I have mattified every kind of finish possible and attempted to come up with something this gorgeous, but I have never gotten this amazing result. OPI calls it a satin finish. It's appropriate. On the nail it feels like satin when you touch it. No top coat needed or wanted for that matter. It's perfect as is. I can't stop touching my nails haha! They feel so smooth and silky. I really like this finish. Hopefully OPI will release some more foils like this. It would definitely renew my love affair with foils. The bottle came with a cute little crown ring also:

I never want to take this off!

OPI Miss You-Niverse

OPI Miss You-Niverse was just released in the Miss Universe collection this month. This is OPIs second Miss Universe collection, the first one released in 2011.

OPI MIss You-Niverse is a blue based purple. Some call it blurple. I really love dark shades like this. I feel like with my pale skin they look so striking. Blue is not usually a good color for me, but there's as much purple in this one and that's why I think it works on me. I'm glad it does! Formula made application a breeze and wear time was, as you can expect from OPI, perfect. I got tired of it and change my mani before I got more than minimal tip wear in a few days.

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy is from the just released Miss Universe Collection. I bought all three so I'll be wearing them back to back I would imagine. All three are gorgeous. Here's I'm Feeling Sashy:

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy is a medium dusty purple creme that I absolutely adore. I don't think I have anything in my collection that dupes this shade. That's always a plus! The formula was an absolute dream so it applied well. Wear time is also great. I love this collection!

Zoya Dita

Zoya Dita is from the Ooh-La-La and La-Di-Da Collection. Silly name. Gorgeous collection.

Zoya Dita is a dark pink berry creme. It looks very soft. I so love the pinky-red shade. Berry is super flattering with my skin tone and so pretty to look at. I have like elevntybillion different bottles in varying shades. Love! I also really love Zoyas cremes. They're so pretty. Lots of them are kind of a crelly, looking squishy and shiny but with plenty of pigment to allow them to be opaque with two coats, sometimes one. I get really good wear with Zoya. I use their Anchor and Armor base and top coat, which I know helps. When I've used SV with Zoya it's been chippy almost instantly. So, for me, SV is a no-no with Zoya. I use Poshe for QDTC with Zoya and have no problems.

China Glaze Agro

China Glaze Agro was released in the spring 2012 Capital Colors collection coinciding with the release of the first Hunger Games movie. DH and I went to the midnight showing at the IMAX. It was a great time and I did a really fun mani that night, but took less than stellar pics as an afterthought at the theater. *shrug* I'm just glad I thought to take them at all with all the excitement that night.

China Glaze Agro is perfect for this time of year. For me it's one of those polishes as I color I might not really love but looks so awesome as polish. I really enjoy wearing this shade. It's olive green with gold shimmer. The polish formula is perfect and it applies so smooth. I had zero problems and didn't even have to do any clean up. It wears good too. This is a fun mani.

Dollish Polish Zombie Flesh

Ermagherd Zermbiesssss!!!!!

Dollish Polish Zombie Flesh is an olive green shimmery base with green black and gold glitter. It's a bit sheer so I ended up doing three coats. Easy coats because the formula is great. Wear time is good as well. In the picture it looks like there's VNL but in reality it's not even noticeable. It's not super gritty so I didn't have to use extra top coat.
It's really an awesome polish whether you like zombies or not. I happen to think they're disgusting, horrible and completely gross while slightly entertaining. As long as they're not chasing me, that is :D
Since I was doing a zombie mani I decided to pair it with my equally awesome ZOMBIE Plan Charm Bracelet For The Zombie Apocalypse. It is the most fun and silly bracelet I currently own. Every time I wear it I get comments. I highly recommend it :)

OPI It's My Year

So, another OPI...
what can I say?

OPI It's My Year was released in the Miss Universe Collection released in the summer of 2011. It's My Year is a reddish-purple jelly base with gold foil shimmer. It's very sheer but not so much as it looks in the pictures. The nail line wasn't nearly as visible at it seems. Though it was there, it was subtle. I don't mind VNL, so this didn't bother me. I used 3 coats for this mani and it lasted long enough for me to be happy. I have decided I don't especially love this type of polish. I used to love it. Ah well, my tastes are likely to change again at some point I guess and I'll wear this again then.

OPI California Raspberry

I seem to be only going towards my OPI collection lately. I've got to open the drawers in my Alex and visit the other brands I have! Hopefully I'll follow through and do just that. I do love OPI polish though. I think my Zoya, China Glaze, Indies and the list goes on, are lonely. :D

OPI California Raspberry is from the OPI Core collection. If it was released in a collection I don't know which one. It's fairly older though, of that I'm sure. I really like it though. The style doesn't seem old. It's shimmery without being frosty. Which is always good. It's kind of a mix between pink and red, which are my favorite shades to wear. Application was just perfect and it wears wonderfully.
DH and I are going to see Rod Stewart in concert tonight and I have a top that is nearly this exact shade I'm wearing. I can't wait! It's going to be so fun. I love Rod Stewart like I love nail polish ;)
Thanks DH for getting such good tickets. Now let's hope I catch a soccer ball finally.

OPI Muir Muir On The Wall

OPI Muir Muir On The Wall is from the San Francisco collection just released this fall.

OPI Muir Muir On The Wall is a blackened purple with lovely purple shimmer and sometimes you can see a slight golden duochrome. Very hard to get a picture of that. So there isn't one here :D
I absolutely love this kind of polish. If you're into wearing polish according to the season this one is very much fall! I got so many compliments on this one. It's really pretty in pictures. It's gorgeous in person.

Essence Carrie with Essence Mr. Big

Carrie and Mr. Big. OMG How I loved Sex and the City. I've watched the entire series more than once. I watched the movies too. So when I saw I had missed this set I was crushed. Lucky for me Essence has re-released these and I was able to get them from Ninja Polish.

Essence Carrie is a bright hot pink creme. My favorite shade to wear of course. So, while I have many similar and maybe even some dupes, I have none named Carrie! So this was a must have.
Essence Mr. Big is a clear base with pink and holographic glitter. So pretty.

OPI Magazine Cover Mouse

OPI Magazine Cover Mouse from the Couture de Minnie collection I can seem to stay away from.

OPI Magazine Cover Mouse is a red liquid sand that has pink and gold glittery sparkles. I do love to wear textured polish. This one does not disappoint. It looks so good! The liquid sand's wear really well too. I don't find them chipping for several days. Which is just about when I'm ready to change colors. So perfection. You could probably get away with one coat if you're careful but I never leave it with just one. Imma two coater kinda gurl.

OPI A Definite Moust Have with OPI Minnie Style

OPI Minnie Style accent nail with OPI A Definite Moust Have.

I didn't want to do another full mani I decided to add OPI Minnie Style to A Definite Moust Have and keep it a little longer. I've used Minnie Style this was several times. It's a really awesome addition to almost any color. It's hex glitter with white, pink and red glitter.

OPI A Definite Moust Have

OPI A Definite Moust Have from this summer's Couture de Minnie collection.

OPI A Definite Moust Have is a medium rosy pink creme. It is divine. I LOVE wearing these shades of pink. I cannot stop buying them. They make me happy, so why stop?!? This collection is really wonderful. Formula and application is perfect.

Ninja Polish 100% Colombian

Ninja Polish 100% Colombian. Indie polish

Ninja Polish 100% Colombian is from the Enigma Collection. It's a shimmery brown that flashes an awesome green in the right light. Behold:

I took this one in the car spur of the moment. It was not planned but man is it stunning! I really like Ninja Polish brand. The application is always smooth and the formula has so far, been great.

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail with OPI MInnie Style

Happy Birthday to DH! Wishing a wonderful day to you. <3

OPI Minnie Style, another from the Couture de Minnie collection released this summer. It's the perfect mani extender.

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail was so pretty I couldn't take it off. Instead I added OPI Minnie Style. OPI Minnie Style is red, pink and white hex glitter in a clear base. Perfect over any color with no change to the base of your mani. This looks so good! I really enjoy it. Usually I only wear glitter as an accent nail but since I was using this to freshen the mani I applied it on all nails. It's a little much for me to wear it on all nails, but I do like it. For a day :D

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail was released this summer in the Couture de Minnie collection. Minnie Mouse is a favorite of mine. This year my Halloween costume is Minnie. I can't wait to wear my adorable red and white polka dots!

OPI Chic From Ears To Tail is a very girly pink creme. It's the epitome of all things feminine. The formula was perfection. Application was so easy. Wear time was also perfect. Plain as they may be, I love a creme polish. They're classic and beautiful.

China Glaze Millennium

China Glaze Millennium from the Khrome collection released in 2009.

China Glaze Millennium. OH. MY. HECK. Can you even stand the awesome that is this polish. I love this so much, and at the same time I only wear it occasionally so I don't use it all up. So silly, but I can't even imagine an empty bottle! It works really well for stamping too. Which is mainly how I use it. I couldn't resist a full mani today though. Sometimes you just have to go for it :D

KleanColor Metallic Pink Matte

Mattified!!

I like KleanColor Metallic Pink even better mattified! The orange I mentioned yesterday is more noticeable when mattified. It's just so awesome looking.  The shimmer is still there but it's subtle. I love using the OPI Matte Top Coat!

KleanColor Metallic Pink

October is the month of Halloween and breast cancer awareness. So pink and orange :D I love both colors! So today we have pink.

KleanColor Metallic Pink is just that, a shimmery pink foil. It has a bit of an orange flash sometimes. It's subtle but it's there. It's the shade of pink I really enjoy wearing. I'm not really familiar with KleanColor brand. I've seen it online a few times, so when I was at the flea market and saw a booth filled with the brand, I picked up a few. I will say the smell is pretty strong. Phew! The opacity was perfect though. I could have done one coat if I was more careful. Overall I like it a lot. The wear time wasn't bad either. I don't feel like it chipped any sooner than the other brands I favor.

Wet N Wild Inferno

It's the first day of October. It's totally fall. I can't think of any other color to welcome October with than orange.

Wet N Wild Inferno is from the Craze collection that came out in the summer of 2009. It's a red-orange with gold shimmer. This color. Oh em gee! It personifies fall, doesn't it? I mean it's just perfect. I have worn it for past Halloween and/or fall celebration manis and boy, it just doesn't get old. I am actually a little panicked about using it all up. It's not a very large bottle. I might need to scour some blog sales and look for a backup haha! Anyway, the color is obviously gorgeous. Happy to say the formula and application are also amazing. Wear time is also great. It's the perfect little polish. I didn't buy this whole collection. I have three of them from the 2009 release. I wish I had gotten them all. If anyone knows where I can get Lust, Morbid, Nocturnal, Shield, Goldmine and Glitz please let me know! I need them in my life :D
